Apple Cider Vinegar is the shit. It’s like the ultimate panacea for any skin problems whatsoever.
Back in February, I noticed heavy amounts of flaking skin on my left thumb. I would pick at it, but that never really helped. I ignored it for a bit, until it started to grow noticably last week. What it turned out to be was a wart planted between the skin and the nail itself.
Considering I live 2 hours away from my doctor, I decided to research home remedies, and everyone praises the shit out of this stuff, and haven’t found any bad reviews yet. All you do is soak a cotton ball in pure apple cider vinegar and hold it down on the wart with a bandaid overnight, and then let it air out throughout the day. Supposedly the wart turns black and falls off after two weeks.
So, I went out and bought this stuff Thursday night. $2.22 for ACV and a bag of cotton balls beats any doctor’s bill easy. Started using it that same night and the thing fell off the following Saturday afternoon. Granted I was constantly picking at it, but it turned black as soon as Friday around noon. I threw some neosporin on after it fell off and protected it with a bandaid and my thumb is now healing quite nicely.
And while I was doing research on it, looking for any bad reviews before I tried it myself, I noticed people are claiming it cures many other skin problems, such as acne or hives from allergies. It balances out the pH levels of your skin and gives it a healthy somewhat flushed glow. I have always had very bad acne problems, especially growing up. It’s not so bad now, however I’ve noticed it getting worse now that birth control is no longer boosting my skin health(temporarily. I’m getting back on it next month!). So as of Saturday night I made a mixture of 50/50 water and ACV and started using it as a toner after using my daily scrub and moisturizing after. And boy did my skin clear up. Not only has any acne disappeared, my skin is no longer oily and the overall tone has evened out as well!
I am extremely happy with ACV, and will report any negative side effects in the coming weeks. However with the good reviews and from my experience so far, I do not forsee that happening anytime soon.
